International School Award
The Horizon School was awarded the Best School Promoting Co –curricular Activities by International School Awards Dubai. The Principal Mrs Namrata Sharma received the award from Dr Attaullah Wahidyar, Advisor to the ministry of education, Afghanistan.
Robotics Lab Inaugurated in The Horizon School
The Robotics Lab was inaugurated by Capt. Abhilash Kumar Sharma, Director of the School on 18th Nov 2022.
The lab will help students learn new skills and develop their knowledge. It will create an environment of scientific temperament, innovation and creativity in students and help them to learn concepts and bring them to life.
CBSE Sahodaya Inter School Volleyball Tournament
On the 3rd and 5th of Nov 2022 the CBSE Sahodaya Inter School Volleyball Tournament was held in our school. A total of 25 teams from Dehradun and Rishikesh participated in the event.
The Horizon School boys team won the trophy defeating Doon Heritage School, Bhauwala in the Finals. The Horizon School girls team was runners up having lost to Him Jyoti School , Dehradun in the finals.
Vividhanjali
Vividhanjali – Navras event was held at Delhi Public School on 5th Nov 2022. Our school students performed very well at the event.
Priya Rana of Class XI and Kashish of Class XII won the first prize in the Fashion Show. Puneet Singh and Hardik Kumar of Class XI won the 2nd Prize in Hasya Kavita. The students also won the 3rd Prize in the Mime Dance.
Investiture Ceremony
The School council was sworn in. The school council with Jessica Jasmine John as head Girl and Dhruv Bhandari as head boy was sworn in and took the oath of office.
Ayushi was appointed the Captain and Pragyan Chand the junior captain of Arravali house, Priya Rana the captain and Alisha Rawat the junior captain of Nilgiri House. Sneha the captain and Anant Singh the junior captain of Shiwalik house and Vedika Shirsavade the Captain and Abhinav Sajwan the junior captain of Vindhyachal house.
Mission Statement
By December, 2020, the school will improve reading, speaking and calculating skills of students at all the stages by providing access to an updated library and conducting related activities. The school will also prepare the health profile of every child enrolled in the school with the help of the local health centre.
