Promotion


  • Promotion to the next class depends on the whole year’s work on regular attendance, on the overall development and the ability of the student to cope with the next step in his education.
  • Any student failing in more than one subject will not be considered for promotion to the next class.
  • Minimum pass marks for promotion is 40%. A pass in English is compulsory for promotion.
  • Only those students with a minimum of 85% of attendance of the working days during each scholastic year will be considered for promotion.
  • Absentees at an examination will be considered as having failed.
  • The school will not retain the answer scripts of the students beyond 60 days from the date of examination.
  • The school will not be responsible for the parents’ failure to collect report cards of their children. Report cards are to be collected by parents, on the Open Day.

Curriculum


The medium of instruction is English. The subjects currently offered are English, Hindi, Social Science, Mathematics, Science and Computer Education, with Sanskrit as the third language at the middle school level. At the senior secondary level the school offers a choice between science and commerce streams. To facilitate participation and build the competitive spirit in extra curriculum activities, the school has four houses: Arravali or Red House, Shivalik or Green House, Nilgiri or Blue House and Vindhyachal or Yellow House.

The school follows the curriculum laid down by the CBSE Board. We follow the CCE (Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation) pattern of evaluation wherein students are assessed continuously throughout the year. The school session comprises two terms, each including two formative assessments and one summative assessment. The progress reports are given after each term.

Clubs: Students are encouraged to become a part of different clubs according to their interests: Environment Club, Literacy Club, Health and Fitness Club, Science Club, Music Club, Art & Craft Club. These clubs plan and execute different activities throughout the year.

Dismissal


  • The School Management reserves to itself, the right to dismiss students whose conduct is detrimental to the orderly life of the school.
  • Those students failing twice in the same class, or failing twice in three consecutive years, will not be allowed to continue in the school.
  • Use or attempting to use unfair means in exams, tests and assignments are a sufficient cause for dismissal.
  • Smoking, bringing or consuming alcohol or narcotic drugs, disrespect towards the staff, bad moral influence, contempt of authority and willful damage to school property will lead to the dismissal of the student from the school and a fine according to the extent of the damage will have to be paid by the parent / guardian.
  • If fees fall into arrears for more than two months from the scheduled date, the student’s name will be removed from the school rolls.
  • Students who indulge in political propaganda, or who organize fellow students in political factions on the premises of the school, or who otherwise engage themselves in party politics are liable to be expelled from the school.
  • Students entering into matrimony while studying in the school will have to leave the school before any such act.
  • The wards of those parents / guardians who obstruct the smooth functioning and vitiate the academic atmosphere of the school through their act of omissions and commissions shall be liable to be dismissed from the school.
